Last week, the 30-year and 15-year fixed-rate mortgages were at all-time lows, according to the Primary Mortgage Market Survey released by Freddie Mac. 

The 30-year fixed rate is 4.12 percent, down from 4.22 percent last week and 4.35 percent during the same period a year ago. The 15-year rate declined to 3.33 percent, down from 3.39 percent last week and 3.83 percent during the same week of 2010. 

Its cliche I suppose, but customer service is critical in real estate. We as a society have been forced to deal with bad service from our banks to car dealerships to airlines. In real estate it can be the difference between a getting an offer or a missed opportunity. In todays internet age, we expect instant information. If we don't get it, we move on. This is exactly what happens when people are looking at houses. If there are outstanding questions that don't seem to be getting answered in a timely fashion, especially in a buyers market, the buyer moves on.
